      A two-volume set quickly followed, the latter part of the voyage being contained in the second volume. "This [first] volume was issued separately, with no indication -- as in the second edition -- that it was Vol. I of an issue of two volumes, but both Sabin and Wagner incorrectly enter it as Vol. 1 of a two-volume edition" (Streeter: IV, ). Cook's official account of the voyage, A Voyage Towards the South Pole and Round the World, appeared six weeks later. Cook's book included 63 copper engravings, [38] some of which were based on Georg Forster's drawings, while A Voyage Round the World was not : Georg Forster.

Well as promised a review on the two volumes of the Voyage of Captain Bellingshausen to the Antarctic Seas,which have just arrived and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Very poor quality printing, with 22 blank pages in volume one, 8 blank pages in volume two/5(2).
